Have watched a ton of Houston over the last few years. Really like Sharp's game. Excellent shooter, and a solid frame at 6'4" 208. Even wingspan, so that lack of length hurts him a little, but he moves well, so that coupled with his solid frame makes me think that he'll be able to hold his own defensively. Fits a role in the league. Off ball player who's a knockdown shooter and doesn't need the ball in his hand to have an impact on the game. Moves the ball well as a passer, and is athletic enough to be effective making straight line drives to the hoop when closed out on hard. Already played that role at Houston, so won't be a major adjustment for him. Think he could have a similar role to what Landry Shamet has been for the Knicks this postseason, but in a frame that's closer to Desmond Bane.
PHYSICAL - Is quick for a small wing decent for a guard - Is not the strongest small wing, below average for a guard SKILLS - Has a decent handle - Uses speed to find space but takes high difficulty shots on ball - Can easily overextend into bad play territory SHOOTING - Can shoot off of movement and stationary as well as by relocating - Has confidence in shot - Can shoot off balance - Has a very quick release and decent release point with good elevation - Has deep range - Prefers to pull up for mid range shots on drives - Not strong through contact even on the perimeter FINISHING - Doesn't get to the rim on drives often - Can be walled off easily PASSING - Has good vision and processing on cross court and skip passes - Isn't the most willing passer - Can wait too long to pass - Can be very smart with connective passes DEFENSE - Makes active contests on the perimeter - Walls up well on the perimeter against guards - Can stop smaller guards from driving - Has very good effort on closeouts - Is a good defender with few lapses and gambles
